Phil Kerslake – The Final Chapter.
Wellington
You may know Phil, or may have heard of who Phil is.
Someone you love probably knows Phil, someone you work with probably knows Phil, someone living with cancer will probably, most definitely know who Phil is.
Someone dear to you who lost their cancer battle will probably have known Phil, he may have supported your loved one, or certainly they may have known who he was.
He’s the guy who has fought his way through eight cancer diagnoses...and survived.
Phil is acknowledged as one of the world’s most extraordinary and prolific cancer survivors.
Amidst these cancer encounters he fell in love, married and he and his wife Gill are the proud parents of two young teen lads.
Despite Phils own cancer challenges, and having to downsize and move his family 4 times to cope with living costs, Phil has always been willing to support others on their cancer journey, making an immense contribution to the cancer landscape, both in New Zealand and internationally.
Sadly in the early hours of Saturday 11th December Phil's final chapter in our lives concluded.
Phil passed peacefully with his beautiful devoted wife Gill at his side at Te Omanga Hospice, Lower Hutt.
Our plea is simple. Our page is simple. It is a call to action for a great kiwi bloke who has given so much to so many, for so long.
We implore you to now give to his family in the same way that he has given to so many New Zealand families over the last 40 years.
We invite you to honour Phil and his commitment to supporting thousands of New Zealanders affected by cancer and their families.
Your donations will ensure that Phil’s wishes that Gill and their beautiful boys will receive the financial and emotional support they need at this heartbreaking time.
Help us to help Phil's family stay in the family home they love, he loved, and they all shared. Without our support sadly another move is on the horizon.......
Phil’s advocacy and support for people living with cancer will go on through his highly regarded book, Life, Happiness...& Cancer

Memories of Phil 7 February 2022
Hi everyone,
As many of you know it was always Phil's intention to write another book, more of a memoir and something that he could leave for Rhys and Matty as a legacy of his life.
After speaking with the family we thought it would be a lovely idea for all of you, Phil's family, friends and followers, to take part in creating a book of memories.
It also gives you the opportunity to say some final words and thoughts to Phil in his memory.
If you would like to take part, would you write your story about Phil and how you met him. Please include anything funny, some history, photos etc.
There will be so much the family don't know that will be wonderful for Rhys and Matty to learn about their Dad from so many people who had a chance to know him.
Please feel free to also say your farewell and write anything you wish to share about the impact Phil has had upon your life.
Down the track the family will look into collating these memories into a book keepsake for the family.
Please share your stories either on Phil's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/phil.kerslake.5 or email to phil@lifepaths.co.nz
Kind Regards - Marion
on behalf of the Kerslake Family
