Our Trinity at only 18 years old, is fighting for her life daily. Please help bring her brother and sister home to say goodbye.
Northland
On Sunday 6th September, 2020 our beautiful Trinity Rosemarie Violet Flavell was in a very serious car accident, on Pipiwai Road in Whangarei. Trin suffered severe multi trauma injuries and has been fighting daily for her life.
Our Trinity has suffered brain damage, broken bones, broken ribs, multiple fractures in the spine, a pelvic bone break, injury to the liver, a tear in the airway, along with many other injuries.
Over the past 48 hours, Trin has had 2 cardiac arrests, 4 surgeries, had her right lung removed, partial skull removal, and is relying on a ventilator to breathe. The Cerebellum part of the brain that provides movement of the body, blinking, coughing and breathing has deteriorated and is now non functional. Our Trin has now been classed brain dead. It is a miracle she is still with us today.
We have been advised that the ventilator helping her breathe will be turned off in 24 hours.
We will cherish every waking moment with her for as long as we can sharing memories, stories, waiata and prayer.
Trinity has experienced and suffered a lot of grief in her young 18 years. Losing her dad Rio, mum Carlene, and father figures Uncle Tony, Uncle Shannon and Uncle Leon already. Trin has been able to pull through these painful experiences with the support of her sister Rakaia, brother Tawhiri and love of whānau.
We have been very blessed as whānau and friends to have spent the last couple of days with our Trin, however, her brother, sister, and other close whānau who are still in Australia want to come home to be with Trin.
Please help us bring them home.
