Hello wonderful people I am the proud mum to my beautiful boy sikhana he is a 1 year 11mth old bullmastiff x with the most sweetest soul you would ever know due to unforeseen events with pets we opted to put money away per fortnight rather then insurance doggo acc was up to $1100 for emergency’s 😍June this year we took sikhana to his vet with a skin allergy he was a healthy 65kg given antibz we were back 3weeks later as it hadn’t cleared he was given a cortisone injec and prescribed prednisone this cleared great we were the told to try and tapper down his dose then stop however he then got a ear infection and hotspot and was deteriorating rapidly loosing weight not eating vomiting drinking loads peeing more and accidents inside the vet said restart prednisone however that night he wasent well I seeked advise from Takurua vets in chch whom then acted swiftly sikhana was very ill needing fluids scans X-rays this for the first day cost us $1200 we were told we could take him home however he may not make it through the night this was absolutely traumatising and heartbreaking for us all he is a huge part of our family he made it through the night back to vet next day for fluids and to get him settled enough to go thru surgery they thought there may of been an obstruction causing him to be so ill we were est $4500 we went ahead but he was not better long story short he’s now a diabetic due to the prednisone this seems so unfair another $4800 10,000 it’s cost all help is grateful
All funds will be paid to sikhanas vet balance
