Please help stop Alfie's pain

Alfie is my world and has gotten me through some tough times, especially in the last year or so, with a spinal cord injury and losing my best friend. It's just him and I at home so he's not allowed to die of Cancer too!

He's lost use of his hind leg and severe pain has put him off eating which contains his meds. For pain relief he can use Fentanyl patches for a little while but he desperately needs surgery to treat his condition. This also adds to bills to manage his pain in the interim.

Thanks to generous donations he was able to get an MRI. The results revealed an aggressive cancerous tumor in his leg pressing on the sciatic nerve.

The only treatment for this is amputation of his leg.

He's 9 and it's expected he won't need any further treatment for cancer after surgery as it is contained currently.

The surgery alone is $8k, which with the other bills (MRI $5,289 + X-ray $1,365 + $100 approx each vet visit + physio + meds + spec consult) I don't quite have.

The target value is the cost of an MRI and surgery less private donations received.

The other option is euthanasia and I don't want to say goodbye to him over money alone.
