Kia ora! We NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE to SAVE AVI! My whangai daughter KARAN is WORKING HARD IN AOTEAROA to SAVE HER HUSBAND'S LIFE in INDIA.
Taumarunui, Manawatu-Wanganui
My son-in-law Avi came to AOTEAROA to be with his wife Karan (my eldest whangai daughter); they had waited almost 5 YEARS to reunite and BEGIN A NEW LIFE AS A MARRIED COUPLE (due to COVID etc).
Avi had settled into his new life in AOTEAROA (working in the orchards, learning to drive in a different country, attending worship, improving his spoken English, learning more about TIKANGA MAORI, making new friends, and so on).
Unfortunately, Avi fell seriously ill with LIVER DISEASE, and became too unwell to continue working. Avi has been forced to RETURN TO INDIA for MEDICAL TREATMENT. My daughter Karan has had to REMAIN IN AOTEAROA working in order to PAY FOR HER HUSBAND'S HEALTHCARE.
Sadly, AVI'S CONDITION HAS DETERIORATED leading to KIDNEY FAILURE. After much consideration, Karan and I have come to realize WE CANNOT DO THIS JOURNEY ALONE; we CANNOT FINANCIALLY AFFORD the HUGE HEALTHCARE COSTS, so WE ARE REACHING OUT FOR HELP.
WE NEED YOU to JOIN OUR HIKOI/JOURNEY, and HELP IN WHATEVER WAY YOU CAN please. I have DEVOTED 33 YEARS AS A REGISTERED NURSE TO CARING FOR OTHERS (recently retired) and my daughter Karan HAS DEVOTED MANY YEARS AS A CAREGIVER.(and continues to work hard caring for others whilst trying to deal with her husband's dire situation).
We LIVE IN HOPE that Avi will SURVIVE this ordeal! We HAVE FAITH that YOUR KOHA/DONATION WILL TAUTOKO/SUPPORT HIS RECOVERY!
Arohanui/much love from AVI & KARAN & MYSELF (and our WHANAU).
MAURIORA! Take care & God bless you & your whanau.
Karan is my whangai tamahine (daughter).
Avi's health-care (Medical & Nursing Care) in India and whatever PROMOTES HIS HEALTHCARE (e.g. flying his wife Karan to India so she can be with her husband).
WE LOST AVI, BUT YOU GAVE US HOPE & FAITH! 1 September 2025
Karan and I wish to THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU for the LOVE/AROHA YOU SHOWED in our time of need. Although Avi has left this world, we look forward to SEEING HIM AGAIN IN HEAVEN. Your KOHA/DONATION helped to pay some of the medical expenses, and for this we are VERY GRATEFUL. May God continue to bless you and your Whanau/Family, and MAY WE ALL PRAY FOR OTHER'S AND HELP OTHERS.
Arohanui from our Whanau/Family and Avi's Mum & Dad.
