I have rescued Bonnie, and she is in dire need to surgery to fix her two broken legs. Please help me help her.
Auckland
Hi everyone,
This is Bonnie, I rescued her last night but will not give any details as to where and who she came from.
She is the sweetest most kindest little thing that is in ALOT of pain.
She doesn't make a sound, no whimper, yelp, nothing as she is so scared she may get hit.
Unfortunately Bonnie has been nursing two broken legs for I have no idea how long. The owner had all intention of taking her to the vet they said, but just brushed it off like it was something as simple as a cold.
I kept her as comfortable as possible last night and took her to the vet this morning, which discovered one badly broken leg, and they are pretty sure the other one is broken also but will need to be confirmed by xray. She now has some pain medication and sits with me at my desk at work so I can keep an eye on her. She is booked in for xrays tomorrow morning to assess the damage and get a ball park cost. But they said aim for 4K+
I am pretty lost at what to do with her as I am not allowed a dog where I am, but have taken custody of her. I don't have that kind of money but she needs surgery as soon as possible. So I am asking anyone with a heart for this beautiful wee thing to help me help her. I may be able to work things around and keep her, or I will nurse her back to health and re home her to someone worthy of her kind beautiful nature, and can shower her in love and affection. But that is the least of my problems and a bridge i will have to cross later, my first priority is to get her out of pain and healthy again.
So whether you are an animal lover or not, I am asking you to please help me. Any donation for her vet bills, xrays, surgery, absolutely anything will help me help her. No child, person nor dog should go through this kind of pain and suffering and it is absolutely heart breaking.
Thank you for your support, i will keep a full update on my Facebook page about her journey.
I am the rescuer and need assistance in her vet bills.
Bonnies finally home :) 15 July 2016
BONNIES FINALLY HOME ????
Our girl Bonnie is finally home after her surgery and 4 nights stay at the vets. Due to both her back legs on recovery they kept her a little longer with padded bandages.
She was ecstatic to see me ?? and so excited to come home. Keeping her still is proving to be a hard task now she has two brand new legs. She also had surgery on her eye which went great.
We would like to thank u from the bottom of our hearts to every single person that donated and made this happen, u all have Bonnie two brand new legs that she is going to be able to run around on for the rest of her long happy life. My heart is filled with so much love for each and every one of u that made this possible for me to do for her. I donate every month to the SPCA but I think I will up the amount I donate and share it around to other rescue causes so everyone gets a little. Because I know first hand that if everyone have a little it makes magic happen. Thank u so much again ??????
