Positive Speakers Bureau offer a free educational service however the charity only receives partial funding for operating costs.

The Positive Speakers’ Bureau is New Zealand’s preferred supplier of HIV education services. We empower people living with HIV to share their stories, raising awareness and improving the knowledge and understanding of HIV throughout the country.

The Positive Speakers’ Bureau believe people living with HIV must be at the heart of the HIV response, creating dialogue between individuals and communities, to effectively raise awareness and reduce HIV stigma and discrimination.

Our services are free, ensuring finances are never a barrier to those wishing to hear our Speakers. Our Speakers go anywhere and everywhere in New Zealand, and we don’t ever charge.

Positive Speakers’ Bureau is managed and administered by the registered charity Positive Women Inc.

About us

Positive Women provides a nationwide support network for women and families living with HIV in Aotearoa New Zealand.

We also deliver HIV education and prevention programmes to the wider community with a focus on eliminating HIV stigma and discrimination.

Use of funds

The funds will help with transport and accommodation costs to enable our speakers to educate people throughout New Zealand.

The PSB is still actively providing education sessions across the country to help break down barriers and stigma experienced by people who are living with HIV.
