About us

BirdCare Aotearoa is a bird hospital and rehabilitation centre, providing expert care and rehabilitation for sick, injured, and orphaned native and endemic species. Our compassionate services extend to public rescuers, and in training upcoming vet talent!

Use of funds

$2 = every little helps

$5 = feed for a day

$10 = keep a Pūkeko warm

$25 = vet care for one injured chick, this includes pain relief medicine

$400 = full rehab package (food, shelter, care, release)”
