Ravanayya is going through serious medical conditions in Chennai Luke in NZ is trying his very best to keep the family's hopes alive.
Chedworth, Hamilton
I’m reaching out to seek your generous support to help G. E. Ravanayya, father of my dear friend Lokiah (aka Luke).
Ravanayya is the father of 3 sons Luke, Kumar & Madhan from Chennai India.
He had an Ischaemic Stroke leading to a left side paralysis which made him bedridden for more than a year and was at an elderly care home in Chennai. He became very lean and was having issues with swallowing food as well.
Lately things have gone from bad to worse as he had to be warded at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of NRG Speciality Hospitals in Chennai – India on the 22nd of May 2024 due to fever and bad cough. The initial diagnosis of the hospital was bleeding in CT Brain, Pneumonia, Tuberculosis and cancer.
Due to this alarming diagnosis and weakening health condition of his father, Luke had to travel from New Zealand to Chennai leaving behind his wife Remaliah and his 9-month-old son, so that he can take care of his father’s medical situation.
Upon reaching the hospital, Luke discovered that his father’s blood platelets were going down and daily platelet transfusion was needed. Add to this, the doctors are treating him for the Tuberculosis. The bone marrow test confirms that he is having cancer in his blood.
Based on the estimates received from the hospital, a sum of NZ$ 30,000 (INR 1.5 million) will be required for the treatment
At this moment, we are earnestly requesting to consider making a sincere gift today towards the treatment and medical management of Luke’s father
Luke is a very good friend from my church.
Funds collected will be used for the current hospitalization treatment which includes blood transfusion, medicine, chemo therapy, surgery, consultant fees, ICU / Hospital charges, medicine and laboratory tests.
Update on Dad 24 June 2024
Unfortunately Dad passed away in his sleep in the early hours on Friday 21st June 2024 and the funeral was conducted by my brothers in India in my absence as I had returned to NZ on 15th June.
The funeral was held on the same day and everything went well by the grace of God.
Thank you each one for your generous support during this challenging time.
Special thanks on behalf of Dad for your compassion. God bless you all
The funds raised on this page will be used to settle outstanding credit card bill used to pay off the hospital bill and expenses incurred for Dads care.
Thank you all once again for your support.
