3 Month Rehabilitation to Walk Again
Auckland
Okay, there I was; I had just completed my work contract and I was about to fly out to a new job when I had a road accident and broke my leg.
My NZL travel insurer refused to pay out (on a technicality, no not drunk) which left me in a bind - I spent everything I had earned and borrowed some too to pay for surgery and hospital care (and I had an initial fundraiser https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/left-to-die-in-another-country-by-insurance to help out - thank you people π)
Now, with 3 months until I am able to walk again and effectively work - I have reopened this fundraiser to help out with rehabilitation.
Costs entail hiring part time carers, transport, facilities, consultations and treatments as well as other ancillary costs.
On average it costs 50 NZD a day for normal day to day costs not including the monthly rent and utilities and any other unexpected or over and above costs.
I appreciate the time youβve taken to read this and I cherish the messages of support and jind donations received - even a thoughtβ¦
Alofa aku and God bless βπΌ

Medical Update 10 May 2023
Had my monthly x-ray and the doc says he reckons itβs 60-70 percent there but healing is a bit slow - reminded me to have no weight baring (only 10-15 %) damn I had started standing and doing small skip walks in my room. He says I still have to be weary and side on caution with use of crutches and elevating leg more and even using a heat pack in the evenings.
Faβafetai Francis much appreciated. MΔlΕ uso ππΌ π
