Help us fundraise for an urgent new room addition to our shelter for incoming mums and babies!

Stanmore Bay, Whangaparaoa

IT'S KITTEN SEASON!!! We are already getting many mum cats and kittens coming into our care, and we don't always have an immediate foster home available! Our rescue centre The Paw Pad in Stanmore Bay houses our unsocialised adult street cat rescues, and we don't have the space in the existing building to safely house wee families!!

On top of this, we have no dry storage facility for food, litter and bedding after the Auckland storms damaged our existing shed.

We are needing to build a 4.8m x 2.4m new addition to the shelter which will allow storage for our perishables down one end, and a safe environment for incoming rescues until a suitable foster home becomes available.

Due to access, the room will be a kitset and need to be assembled on site. A platform structure on piles will also need to be built to hold the room.

This room can also then be used as a recovery room for surgical cases and more. There will be a small deck area for fresh air and sunshine.

Funds raised for this project will be kept seperate until we raise enough to order and build our new addition. This is such an urgent and much needed room and we will be doing everything we can to raise these funds.

Use of funds

A 4.8m x 2.4m kitset fully insulated cabin, complete with enclosed end for dry storage. A framed base with piles to hold the cabin, and electrical wiring including power points and lighting.
