The Vision: More Than Just a Sanctuary Revved Up Rescues isn't going to be your typical animal shelter. Located in South Canterbury NZ, our sanctuary will merge my two life passions into something truly unique.

Imagine cat habitats crafted from older cars—the backseat of a classic VW Beetle converted into plush sleeping quarters, the hood of an old farm truck transformed into a sunbathing deck. Play structures built from repurposed engine blocks and transmission housings. A medical centre we call "The Tune-Up Shop" where injured and sick cats receive the care they need.

But beyond the automotive aesthetics lies a deeper philosophy. Just as I can look at a rusted clapped out car and envision the gleaming restoration to come, our approach to cat rehabilitation focuses on potential rather than problems. The senior cat others dismiss as "too old"? We see a classic with character. The hissy, frightened stray deemed "too feral"? We recognise a high-performance engine that just needs the right adjustments.

Every cat deserves the chance to reveal its true value and beauty. At Revved Up Rescues, that's exactly what we'll provide. My jobs equipped me with problem-solving skills that translate surprisingly well to sanctuary management. I understand the importance of patience, precision, and persistence. I know how to work within constraints and improvise solutions. Most importantly, I've learned that the most worthwhile projects are often those others deem impossible
