Queenstown Swimming Club fund raiser

Queenstown, Otago

My name is Brent Jarvis, I’m the president of the Queenstown Swimming Club

I am urgently seeking any and everyone's help to raise funds to support our Queenstown Swimming Club.

Unfortunately, our Club faces tuff economic challenges due to a large increase in pool hire fees, we are in the re build phase with a new coach, Jedi Morland. qscswimcoach@gmail.com

Unfortunately, our club requires constant fund-raising efforts to help pay its way, this season.

So, with all of that said, we are desperately seeking everyone's help to raise the funds necessary to allow our swimmers and coach to train and delivery the great service to the community.

I'm cycling the Sounds to Sounds (S2S) cycle event to raise money for the club. The S2S is a 1500km self supported bike packing event from Ships Cove, Marlborough Sounds to Milford Sounds, Fiordland. You can follow my progress.

Our club is small, all funds raised go directly to the club to ensure its continuation in providing an excellent service to the community.

Thank you.

Day 12 Sounds 2 Sounds  18 March 2024

Final push to the finish. A little worried about the tour bus traffic on route. Left Te Anau at 7am really nice ride out if town. Bus traffic pretty good and JUST enough road should to avoid being part of the paint work. A consistent 105k climb to the Homer Tunnel. Steep ramps in places seemed vertical, with the last 1k to tunnel a real battle exhausted legs didn't have much left to give there. Through the tunnel for the down hill roll out to the finish line.

What a course. Really hard, massive climbs, remote country to ride through. A very special event to be part off. Thank you for your support along the way.
