Rodneys Rescues is a volunteer group conceived during the successful search for its namesake Rodney earlier this year. Rodney (The Marton ITM Cat) as “released” into wasteland in Marton in June 2020 & was found successfully 5 weeks later. He was recently (unbeknown to us) relocated to Taranaki, given a new identity & rehomed where is is unfortunately again missing. Flyers have already been distributed to the immediate & surrounding areas he was last seen however his search is ongoing and more flyer drops are required. We have had donations provided by many involved in Rodneys initial Marton search but will need more funds to continue our mission and also provide necessary vet care for Rodney when he is found. As was the case during Rodneys first search, stray/abandoned cats are also being located. These require neutering, micro chipping, general health vet checks and rehabilitating for Rehoming. We are working with other volunteer cat rescue groups in Taranaki to do this. We will not give up our search for Rodney and will continue to assist his many “friends” we are finding along our journey.
