Rosalinda's battle with Cancer in Davao, Philippines

My mother was a healthy middle-aged woman of 58 years old. Unfortunately in recent months the side of her face has swollen and got worse and worse. Initially, this was only on one side of her face and was considered to be non-cancerous and more like just an infection, and was sent home with pain killers by various doctors. Even a blood test and CT scan did not detect anything worse. We have recently had her travel to Davao to stay with a family member there and attend a clinic to see what was causing this to rapidly grow on both sides of her face and now starting to cause her not to breathe properly or eat. So has become rather urgent. My husband and I and my brother in the Philippines, have been covering the costs to date for doctors fees and treatment. We have raised money (NZ$9000) to allow for a tube to be placed inside her trachea so she can breathe. Another tube inserted into her stomach so she can feed. Additionally, we will be covering the costs of the medical tests and scans she needs for her treatment options. Beyond that, we will have difficulty finding the money for the required ongoing cancer treatments, which are so very expensive in the Philippines. The 3 options are surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment, Rosalinda needs this treatment to survive as she is a loving wife, mother and, grandmother, to our whole family, both in the Philippines and in New Zealand.
