Run For A Life

$1,755 of $10,000 goal
Given by 32 generous donors in 5 weeks

On Wednesday 24th September 160 pupils and 40 staff will leave St Bede's College on the start of the "Run For A Life" CanTeen fundraiser.

Nationwide

They will travel to eight different destinations around the South Island and prepare for their five day run. For those selected for the run, it is a once in a life time opportunity. They will run over 25kms a day for five days. They will develop a team bond the like of which they may never experience again. They will experience the beauty of New Zealand and will come home changed young people.

For the members of CanTeen, this fundraiser means something very different. The money raised during "Run For A Life" will enable CanTeen members to attend camps and programmes to enable them to move forward as they face the prospect of living with cancer with the support of their peers.

About us

We connect young people (13-24 years) in our region living with cancer, providing them with opportunities for leadership, fun and friendship. CanTeen aims to provide a sense of normalcy and enjoyment to what can be a very tumultuous time. Whether it be one to youth worker support, counselling, connecting with other young people who understand or just having some much needed time out, we can help.
