Samia Sisters NZ Honours 2017 Volleyball & Basketball

3 sisters in 4 national teams all self funded. Proud parents looking for support to get the girls to their internationals events for NZ.

Rosalia - NZ Under 18 Volleyball team competing at Asian Champs in China

Laina - NZ Under 23 Volleyball team competing at Asian Chamos in Thailand

Melika - NZ Under 16 Select Basketball team competing at Basketball event in Australia

Rosalia (again!) - NZ Under 17 Basketball team competing at Asian Champs in India

I'm involved because they are my children and am ultimately required to find the money to get them wearing the silver fern.

Use of funds

Funds used to pay associated costs to National body for place in respective team. Costs cover their airfares from home to country of event, internal transport, insurances, NZ training apparel and playing strips, entry fees, food and accommodation at tournament.

Busy Time   2 September 2017

Its been a busy time and the girls have now each had one trip away representing the country - to China, Thailand and Australia. Back in NZ they have of course been busy with school sport and regional teams with Laina now playing for Otago (and Scorpions Volleyball Club).

Last week though Rosalia received the call for the second time this year - this time her Basketball coach who has selected her now from the squad to travel to India in October to play in the Asian FIBA World Cup Qualifier tournament. Much appreciation to all who are supporting the girls to represent NZ and travel the world. We can't thank you enough.

I feel somewhat responsible for forcing Basketball upon Rosie and Melika in their early years, and am so proud of where they are now due to their dedication and love of the game - keep going girls!!!
