A heartfelt plea to save our beloved Dexter, by funding the life-saving surgery he urgently needs after a devastating heart injury.
Pakuranga, Auckland
Our beloved Dexter, a sweet and loyal Labrador, has suffered a devastating injury—a ruptured artery near his heart. He urgently needs surgery to drain the blood and stop the bleeding.
This has been a difficult and emotional time for us. We recently relocated to New Zealand, starting a new chapter in our lives. The move has drained our savings, leaving us struggling to find our footing in a new place.
Dexter has been so much more than a pet; he’s been our rock, our constant source of comfort, and our moral support during this major life transition. It breaks our hearts to see him in pain, knowing we are unable to provide the help he needs on our own.
Dexter is not just a dog—he’s family. At six years old, he has so much life and love left to give. Watching him suffer and feeling powerless to help has been heartbreaking.
We’re reaching out for support to give Dexter the second chance he so desperately needs. Your kindness and generosity will help cover the cost of his surgery and give our sweet boy the opportunity to heal and continue spreading joy.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Even sharing this campaign can help us reach those who might be able to contribute. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us save Dexter.
The funds will cover Dexter’s life-saving surgery, including medical procedures to stop the bleeding, post-operative care, and veterinary bills.
Thank You & Update on Dexter 18 February 2025
Good morning everyone,
I want to take a moment to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your kindness and generosity in helping to save Dexter. Your support has meant the world.
I apologize for the delay in sharing an update—I’ve been dealing with a bit of a medical emergency myself. I recently broke my shoulder and had to undergo surgery. It’s been a challenging time, but Dexter has been right by my side, offering the best kind of support, just as a true friend should.
I’m happy to share that Dexter has been doing really well. Since the fluid was drained, his heart has remained strong, and thankfully, there have been no signs of it returning. We remain hopeful that it stays this way.
Thank you again for your care and support—it truly makes a difference.
With gratitude,
Albert
