A giant thank you to everyone that donated on the last Givealittle page (https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/help-billie-get-back-on-her-feet) to help our beloved Billie. Public healthcare has declined further treatment, so now the private sector is our only option. The money raised was used for Billie to have a Hickman line fitted to provide fluids in a home setting to give her some relief in the short term, at a cost of almost $8000 you're generous donations were almost enough to cover this cost.

Billie has been battling Gastroparesis since 2019 yet since has been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Severe immune hypersensitivity from inappropriate mast cell activation MCAS, Probable Artery compression syndromes secondary to EDS - Likely MALS Nutcracker syndrome, May-Thurner syndrome, Orthostatic hypertension, Duodenal reflux and a Positive Lhermitte's sign (Raising the concern of craniocervical instability.

Despite becoming more malnourished, tired and weak each day our beloved Billie is fighting hard not only for herself but for all that face denial of care. If you know Billie, you'll know she lives her life to advocate for others, she dreams of a world where everyone is loved, cared for and valued, she'd give you the shirt off her back, without even asking.
