Help us raise funds to cover Simons vet bills

Simon needs your help!

Simon is a kitten from one of our managed colonies and was trapped last month. He's had some minor health issues on and off since then but today deteriorated very quickly and is now at the After Hours Vet Clinic on oxygen.

Currently his vet bill is at $650 but will likely be closer to the $1000 mark with all of the overnight nursing care added. In addition to that if he makes it through the night he will need to be transferred to another clinic for ongoing care and oxygen therapy tomorrow which will push the bills up even further.

Any help with his bills would be greatly appreciated

About us

We are a non-profit registered Cat Rescue located in Lower Hutt, Wellington. We pride ourselves on helping cats and kittens in need whether they be abandoned, unwanted, sick, injured or wild.

Use of funds

The money will be spent paying the Wellington After Hours Vet Clinic bill and any other vet bills that Simon incurs during his illness. If we exceed the amount required to cover Simons bills any excess will be put towards helping the other cats in our care

Sad news 8 August 2022

Unfortunately we have some sad news to report. Little Simons body started to fail him last night and we had to make the very tough call to let him go. While we always fight as hard as we can for our kittens it was clear Simon wasn't going to rally and we didn't want to prolong his suffering. Rest in Peace Simon ❤️

Now we fight for his brother Sam who is at the vets having a thorough check over so we can hopefully prevent a similar outcome for him.

Simons after hours vet bill came to $650. We do not currently have an estimate for how much Sam's care will cost us

It’s a year today since we adopted our cats from you. I hope Simon pulls through and someone can be as lucky as we are with our two. Whatever happens I hope you know your work is so appreciated.
