For the Love of Cats Rescue

For the Love of Cats rescue is a registered charity based in the Hutt Valley. We pride ourselves on helping cats and kittens in need whether they be abandoned, unwanted, sick, injured, or wild.

The rescue is run by a vet nurse and vet nurse in training with support from a core group of volunteers and fosterers.

They aim to provide gold standard care to all cats and kittens with an emphasis on education and encouraging responsible pet ownership.

All cat and kittens that come into the care of the rescue are assessed, given veterinary treatment if required, socialized, and then desexed, microchipped and rehomed.

We can help if:

-there is a stray cat in your neighborhood that is not owned

-your cat has unexpected kittens (did you know that if you surrender the whole litter to our rescue we will desex mum cat for free and return her to you)

-there is a colony of cats that you are concerned about

-you need to get your cat desexed but funds are tight (depending on our on funds at the time)

For the Love of Cats rescue relies on the generosity of adopters and donations from the general public to function. Cat rescue is a project of passion but unfortunately does not come cheap.

-adopting a cat or kitten from us
