Help fix snowball the cats broken leg instead of putting him down
Otago
**UPDATE**
We have the full quote from the vet, the total cost will be $1104.
We have the xray results back Snowball has 3 fracture one of which is a compound fracture, on the vets recommendation we have decided to amputate. This was not an easy decision to make but in the vets opinion is that there is to much damage to have a reasonable chance of repairing it and snowball will have a better quality of life without it than with a badly healed leg.
Snowball came home with a broken back leg on Sunday night, he saw the vet on Monday who said that both bones are broken and that he needs to have an x-ray taken before it can be treated.
Snowball's family is out of work due to medical reasons and are unable to afford this lump sum all at once, unfortunatly the vet wont let them pay it off over time and Snowball needs treatment now.
Any money donated to us that is not used to cover snowball's treatment costs will be donated to the SPCA to help other animals in need.
If snowball's family can't get the money together they will have to put him down, they really don't want to do this as he is a beloved family pet and only 2 years old with much more life ahead of him, but they may have no choice.
Snowball is my cat
