Support the Fletcher family with the rarest cancer diagnosis in New Zealand
Matangi, Waikato
Some of you may know the Fletcher whānau through Matangi School, where Carmen Fletcher has been a much-loved teacher aide for many years, supporting tamariki to learn, grow, and thrive.
Recently, Carmen’s husband was diagnosed with Low Grade Sarcoma — an extremely rare cancer, with his being the only known case of its kind currently in New Zealand. He now faces major reconstructive surgery to remove a tumour in his lower leg, followed by a long and challenging recovery journey.
During this difficult time their whānau would deeply appreciate any support. Any contribution, big or small, will help ease some of the financial and practical pressures ahead and allow the family to focus on his treatment and recovery.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and for keeping the Fletcher whānau in your thoughts. ❤️
Carmen supports our family in every way and has been caring for my daughter with Down syndrome for the past 4 years at school and home 💗
• Accommodation costs for Carmen when she is required to stay in Auckland
• Fuel costs for travel to and from appointments
• Living expenses while Carmen is unable to work
