With a bit of help, all our children can participate and feel equal at camp

$5 of $1,700 goal
Given by 1 generous donor in 5 weeks

With YOUR help, ALL our children will enjoy a camping experience and they can ALL participate in a camp activity. They will ALL feel EQUAL.

Auckland

Camps are a FABULOUS tool to support and empower single parent families.

With your assistance, we can take 80 [or more] single parents, their youth and young children camping over the Waitangi long weekend and provide ALL our youth and young children with a horse & pony activity.

Your contribution particularly assists larger families with 3, 4, 5 and up children who generally don’t attend camps or paid activities for the cost is multiplied. By paying children’s fees, ALL families pay the same cost – just the adult’s fees, and ALL children participate in activities making them ALL feel EQUAL.

..............

Through camps and child activities, parents get a chance to think of themselves. No matter how they arrive (shattered, exhausted, stressed), they always leave empowered, with new friends to form their supportive network, tips, hope and energised.

Their youth and young children count down the sleeps till camp where they connect and reconnect with new and old friends. We work at keeping youth engaged with family, their goals & dreams and a surprise activity is helpful. (Waitangi Day is at the start of the school year).

Your contribution also provides terrific family memories (we've added hiking during the day, roasting marsh mellows on an open fire followed by trips to find glow worms).

These families are remarkable and very grateful for your kindness.
