An untreated eye injury means Sophie the rescued German Shepherd needs to have her eye removed

This sweet little girl only a year old was dumped at the pound. Very underweight and a strange looking eye. Recommendation by Auckland Animal Eye is for it to be removed. This is scheduled for 13th March as we need to put some weight on her first. She currently weighs only 23kg

About us

We are an registered charitable trust finding homes for German Shepherds who have been neglected, abandoned. or at risk of euthanasia rather than providing medical care.

We are thrilled that Sophie has gone up from 23kg to 25.9kg which means she will handle anaesthetic so much better. She is a lovely little dog who has become firm friends with her fostermums cat.
