$2,545 of $100,000 goal
Given by 36 generous donors in around 4 months

The Spirit of New Zealand, is celebrating her 30th anniversary this year and is undergoing a mid life refurbishment

Auckland

This years refit is budgeted at $769,000 and the Trust has been supported but is still $100,000 short to cover the costs of the works. We are seeking your support to enable the ship to be maintained in first class condition and able to operate for another 20 years

About us

Spirit of Adventure Trust is a not-for-profit organisation set up to empower young New Zealanders to reach their full potential, through a unique sailing experience at sea on our tall ship Spirit of New Zealand - Te Waka Herenga Tangata o Aotearoa.

Heading out on over 30 youth development voyages a year, over 1,400 Rangatahi each year have the opportunity to take part in this unique experience.

Our 10-Day Voyages focus on growth and development. As well as honing numerous skills - including leadership, teamwork, communication, self-discipline, resilience, confidence and tolerance - our voyages foster enduring friendships among participants. The tall ship and the unique and challenging environment of the ocean builds personal growth and development that is almost impossible to replicate elsewhere.
