Help Rainbow Storytime hold Destiny Church accountable for their actions against the Rainbow community around Aotearoa
Nationwide
Over the past couple of weeks, Destiny Church, led by Brian and Hannah Tamaki have come up against the Pride/Rainbow communities of Aotearoa.
In particular they have taken offence to Rainbow Storytime which sees Erika & CoCo Flash, two Taranaki drag queens, read stories about anti-bullying, kindness and self-confidence to children predominantly in libraries.
The church leaders, members and affiliates have caused disruptions to these sessions by protesting, vandalising public property, threatening the performers and spreading disinformation and making false allegations about the Queens. Extreme homophobia and transphobia is displayed.
Haus of Flash Ltd who run Rainbow Storytime are taking action about this group and have found a lawyer to assist with this action. We just now need to raise funds to help with the expected legal costs.
Legal fees required upfront to work with our chosen lawyer to action this case.

Oh my gosh! There has been a surge of donations on our newest page. Thank you so much! To be honest I've been feeling a bit down lately, we've got a $118k bill for the lawyer sitting there at the moment and it's definitely not a nice feeling.
Luckily, due to my health and upcoming surgery I've managed to secure Legal Aid for the rest of the duration of this case so that's relieved some pressure, but yes big bill still to pay.
If you haven't already, please check out the new John Campbell doco on Destiny Church on TVNZ+, we have an episode about our case on there.
Thank you all so much for your support, it means the world!
