Stop the boat ramp at Mapua
Funding experts to oppose the Mapua ramp.

In late November, Resource Management Commissioners will hold a hearing on the new boat ramp.
Our community could change forever. Once it’s built, a ramp is permanent. The Waterfront Park will become “Mapua Boat Ramp,” and Mapua will be overrun by boats and trailers from outside Mapua.
We’ve been told we need to get our own experts—a lawyer and technical specialists. We've raised a reasonable amount of money, but now we need your help.
Your donation today can help keep our waterfront open for the community, for families, for everyone—not just boats.
Use of funds
Hiring a technical advisor. All funds raised will go towards advice - we will make up any difference within the group/elsewhere

Thanks in part to your contributions, we were able to fund an expert who was instrumental in the Commissioners' decision to decline the application to build a ramp at Mapua.
Looking down the list I see the names of people who gave generously in other fundraising and also with their time.
I see people who have visited Mapua and been enchanted by the waterfront, and I see lots of people who have chosen to remain anonymous.
To you all, many thanks on behalf of the Friends of Mapua Waterfront. We had drinks on Sunday afternoon, and you wouldn't have found a happier group of people anywhere.
There is a next stage - we now want to get together to map out how to turn the waterfront from something special to something spectacular!
