Support a sister supporting a sister in her time of need

I am doing this on behalf of my mum Barbara French. Her sister has sadly become very unwell and has been in Palmerston North hospital for several days.

Her sister Maree needs her support during this time. To keep her sisters health private we won’t be able to share the exact details of her health status. She is a very sick lady.

The money raised will help pay for additional expenses, mainly accommodation in Palmerston North and petrol. We are unsure how long Barbara will be in Palmerston North for, it is so important she can stay close to the hospital to make long hospital days manageable.

Update: Maree passed away on 17/2/2026 at Palmerston North hospital after a sudden illness. The money is still going towards accommodation as Barbara is staying in a motel in Levin. She and some family members are now sorting through everything. Thank you so much to those that have donated, and to those that have read and supported Barbara, we truly appreciate it.
