Support Ana and her partner Cain with the early arrival of their second daughter Florence at 30 weeks.

This is being written on behalf of Ana and her family.
Ana and her partner Cain are navigating the unexpected early arrival of their second daughter Florence, at 30 weeks. This little baby is going to require lots of loving care for a long time.
It’s wonderful the support they have already received from so many family members and friends. And, we want to wrap support around them from afar. One of the ways we can do this is by offering financial assistance for the necessary, inevitable and extra demands this situation requires.
We would love Florence and her family to have the means to get the help they need to stay healthy, strong and resilient.
In addition, some of the practical costs you may be contributing towards include:
- daily transport to and from the hospital
- flights to enable family and friends to help at short notice as well as in the short term future
- specialists appointments
- medicines and supplements, some not readily available in Colombia
- resources for a premature baby
Feel free to share this link to anyone else who may be willing to support Ana and her family.
Your support really counts and is received with so much love and gratitude.

A message from Ana 10 October 2025
Hello to you all,
I hope this update finds you well.
Florence is really thriving. We are having less medical appointments which has been a relief. The recent scans of her brain show that her cerebral development is on track. What resilience life has to unfold! Scans of her renal system indicate some immaturity still and we are hopeful this will correct itself in the coming months. This condition is common in premature infants.
She loves having baths and even contentedly accepts water poured over her by her big sister. Seeing Aureliana interact with care and love is a delight and now Florence has some head control, being held by her elder sister is easier to orchestrate! We so enjoy Florence’s sometimes intentional gummy grins' as she makes eye contact. Nights continue to be a challenge due to the fact that her preferred place to sleep is on someone’s chest. Its no surprise, given her kangaroo history!
It is incredible when I reflect back on the last 4 months. I can now so appreciate the words someone said “in the depth of this journey, in time the tough phase will be a memory and we will have new, ever growing experiences filling up our lives together.”
In appreciation, hugs from Florence and her family
