To assist Amy and her family with medical and transport costs, and general living expenses.
Waikato
Amy, 36, is our beloved friend and family member, in January she was admitted to hospital with severe abdominal pain, many tests, appointments and surgeries later it was found she had a rare and fast spreading form of cancer which started as undiagnosed ovarian cancer. she went from having her whole life ahead of her with endless possibilities, to being told she only has a few months to live. The past few months have been hard for her and the family, with many appointments and hospital visits, and trying to get family to travel from around the country to see her while they can. I am hoping to raise some money to assist with transport and medical costs, and hope Amy and her family can live a little more comfortably in her final days. Any help is greatly appreciated ❤️
Amy is my beloved friend, my son's God Mother.
The money will be used for transport and medical costs not covered by the public health system. Including accommodations for family who need it, to assist with general living costs for Amy. It could be possible to use some funds for Amy to travel or treat herself to.
Thank you! Let’s continue.. 16 June 2021

Thank you all for all the support you have given Amy and her family during this difficult time, pls continue to support us as we now endeavour to find answers to events that led so quickly and traumatically to Amys premature death.
Amy suffered throughout her illness, at times unnecessarily horrifically, not always attributable in our opinion to her illness. Help us to pursue the answers we seek and endeavour to bring about change in the way gynaecological illnesses are addressed or not addressed in our ED departments, so that together we may all play a part in preventing more woman from the consequences and horror that is ovarian cancer left undetected.
The importance of access to simple investigation procedures when presenting at any health centre/ hospital with abdominal pain cannot be stressed enough..it can and will save lives.
No one should have to live what Amy lived.
This is what she wanted, she wished that no one else would fall through the gap that she did so
we must push and push hard for change, for our mothers, daughters, sisters, aunties, nieces, friends
our woman and for Amy.
