Emmett Turns Four – A Brave Boy on a Rocky Road
Our beautiful Emmett is now four. While this milestone should be filled with joy, Emmett is back in hospital, bravely continuing treatment for B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL).
He was diagnosed just months ago after becoming pale, lethargic, and unwell. It took persistence to get answers — blood tests revealed severe anaemia and, heartbreakingly, leukaemia.
Since then, Emmett has endured intense chemotherapy, lumbar punctures, bone marrow tests, and frequent hospital stays. His big brother August has walked beside him every step of the way.
With the help of many kind people, we’ve completed urgent bathroom renovations to create a safer, more hygienic home. We are incredibly grateful.
But the journey is far from over. Emmett’s treatment will span 2–3 years. His immune system is fragile, and infections mean constant disruptions, creating challenges for the whole family.
This page helps support Emmett’s care, future home improvements, and the financial pressure on his parents, Ashlee and Kai, as they juggle work, parenting, and hospital life.

I’m Emmett’s grandmother, and I’m setting up this page to support my son Kai, his wife Ashlee, and their family as they care for Emmett through his leukaemia treatment and work to make their home safer for his recovery.
Use of funds
Funds will go toward urgent home renovations to remove black mould, install a dishwasher for hygiene, cover travel and care costs, and support Emmett’s parents as they care for him full-time during his leukaemia treatment.
