Raising funds to support Sian during treatment for Stage 4B cervical cancer.
Waikato
Our dear friend Sian, 43 years old, has recently received a sudden and unexpected diagnosis of Stage 4B cervical cancer. This news has come as an overwhelming shock to her and her family.
Sian has always been a single mum, working incredibly hard to raise her children and give them a strong, loving foundation. This stage of her life was meant to be a time to enjoy their company, share experiences, and have some long-awaited moments of fun together. Instead, her world has been turned upside down.
While her children are now young adults, they still depend deeply on their mum. In response to her diagnosis, Sian’s son has left his job and moved home so he can be close by and help care for her during treatment — a reflection of how central she is to her family.
Sian is now facing intensive medical treatment, frequent hospital appointments, and the physical and emotional toll that comes with advanced cancer. Alongside this comes significant financial pressure, including medical, travel, and day-to-day living costs.
We have created this Givealittle page to help ease that burden, so Sian can focus on her health, treatment, and spending meaningful time with her family without added stress.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page is another powerful way to help.
Thank you for standing alongside Sian and her family with kindness, dignity, and practical support.
I am a long-time friend of Sian and am fundraising to help ease the financial burden of her treatment
Funds will help cover essential living and travel expenses, with the possibility of exploring immunotherapy treatment if resources allow.

Hi everyone,
I haven’t shared an update in a little while, and that’s been intentional. Sian has been focusing on adjusting to the two nephrostomy bags, building her strength, protecting her energy, and most importantly – spending precious time with her kids.
But today, we have FABULOUS news to share.
Her latest scans show that the cancer is shrinking.
Not only that – her team is now looking at removing the nephrostomy and replacing it with a stent instead 🥳😍🙏
This is a huge milestone. A massive physical and emotional relief. Fewer external tubes. More freedom. More normality. More hope.
In true Sian style, she drove herself to the appointment with her son, got the news, and they’re now on their way home to celebrate.
There have been lots of happy tears today.
Thank you for continuing to hold her up with your love, prayers, messages, and support. It truly makes a difference. She’s gaining weight, growing stronger, and showing us all what resilience looks like.
We’re not at the finish line yet, but this is a powerful step forward.
With gratitude and hope
