This page is made to help aid my dad's move to the north for his last weeks, and then his last journey home to whangarei.
Auckland
My father was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer on the 1st of August 2025 and only given weeks to live. This page has been set up to help get him back up to the north island to be with his loved ones during his last weeks of life. My fathers first stop will be in auckland where he will be surrounded by all of his kids and loved ones until his final days and then his last journey will be to Whangārei, where he will be buried at the family urupā.
Stacey has 3 children, 9 grandchildren, and a father figure to many. Hes the youngest of 10 siblings in total, an uncle, nephew and a friend. Loves to play pool and thought he was a part-time comedian. He is a wise man with a ear to listen and shoulder to lean on if needed for many. He loves his Kai and being around loved ones.
This page was originally created in the hope's that dad could live out his bucket list, and do some things that he dreamed of while still able to. But being closer to home and with his loved ones is more of a priority now.
This is an AMAZING man who would have fought cancer if he could. Any koha will help towards making dads final weeks easier.

The money donated will be used for his expenses to make things easier for him in his final weeks. Also for his travel to whangārei, and funeral expenses.

Trying times 5 September 2025
It is with a very great sadness, that Stacey Douglas Paul Edmonds has been given his wings to embrace our Lord almighty in his Kingdom. Moe mai ra e hoa it will be hard for us to no longer have our beloved Koro, Father, Brother, Brother in Law, Friend, Confidant. The years have been met with love, light and laughter, cherished memories. Sunrise Oct 4th 1968 - Sunset September 5th 2025. May God takes you into his loving embrace. Our next hikoi (journey) will take us towards Whangarei together as a whanau and there from there we will be taking him to Ngā Whā where he will be laid to rest on Tuesday. The whanau would like to take the time to thank everyone that has given there support and sent their well wishes it meant so much for the grieving whanau at this sad time. For those who wish to koha this will go towards the trip up to Ngā Whā, to the funeral expenses and the hikoi home. Once again the whanau would like to take time to acknowledge the Staff at Waitakere Hospital for caring for Stacey and to Waitakere Marae for billeting the whanau from near and far
