Seeking support on my journey through topical steroid withdrawal to access healing therapy in Thailand that could help me regain my health.
Auckland
Kia Ora, my name is Te Rima, and I am an artist. For years, I've battled a severe condition that began with eczema and was worsened by prolonged use of topical steroids. These treatments, which I thought would heal me, have left me in a challenging state that affects my life physically, emotionally, and creatively.
I've explored various healing methods, including naturopathy, Chinese medicine, and countless diets, but true relief has been elusive. Recently, I learned about Cold Atmospheric Plasma (CAT) therapy in Thailand. After seeing its benefits for others and doing my research, I believe this could be a crucial step toward healing.

I’m reaching out for support to make this journey possible. The funds will help cover CAT therapy, alternative natural treatments, travel, accommodation, and medical needs. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings me closer to a life with less pain and a chance to reclaim my art.
Thank you for supporting me on this path.
Ngā mihi nui,
Te Rima
The funds raised will be used for alternative therapies like CAT therapy in Thailand, accommodation, travel expenses, and medical costs (also in Thailand) associated with my recovery from topical steroid withdrawal. I'll be taking my mother with me as I am too debilitated to travel and look after myself at this raw stage.
If funds are not met, I will find other means to reach goal.
A New Chapter in my Healing Journey 23 July 2025
Kia ora everyone 💚
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the incredible support I received through this page. Your generosity helped me begin my healing journey overseas with Cold Atmospheric Plasma (CAP) therapy, and I made life changing progress during my six months away.
However, since returning home to New Zealand just a few weeks ago, my skin has deteriorated rapidly. The cold, dry winter climate has caused severe flare ups and infection, and it has become clear that my body cannot heal here.
Because of this, I have made the decision to return to a warmer healing climate to continue my treatment, this time in a location closer to home where CAP therapy is now also available.
With the encouragement of many of you, I have now launched a new Givealittle page to help cover travel, treatment, and daily living costs while I continue this journey. If you are able to support, share, or simply send aroha, I would be so grateful.
Your message will be displayed on the page and emailed to the donor.
