This page is to raise funds for the 2025 NZIBO team to compete at the International Biology Olympiad in the Philippines in July.

Nationwide

Jamie Cartwright, Oren Dabbach, Sophie Main, & Jessica Wu are the top 4 NZ secondary school biologists and have been studying hard for the last two years to be able to represent NZ at the International Biology Olympiad competition in the Philippines this July https://www.ibo2025.org/

This prestigious competition brings together the brightest young biologists from 80 countries around the world to compete against each other and inspire the next generation of leaders in science. It is a life-changing experience and NZ 'punches above it's weight', winning medals every year. These hardworking and talented NZ students need an additional $15,000 for team travel expenses to be able to compete, despite funding support from Science OlympiaNZ for their flights. Please help these wonderful young students represent NZ, they will do us proud!

Use of funds

Travel, accommodation, and meals for the NZ team attending the IBO in the Philippines, July 2025. Any money raised in excess of what is needed to attend the competition will be used for the NZIBO programme, benefiting 100's of talented students every year.
