Surgery Needed!

I need surgery in late February and will be fundraising, selling items and working really hard to make this happen! This will increase my quality of life, for me and my whanau so I can be up and about.

I also need to be fit and strong so I will be working on myself heaps before the surgery. I am so lucky that Southern Cross will pay 80% of the cost so I need to find the shortfall of $5000. The Public system won't help us out and we would have to fight for years and years while I have this issue.

While it's a private area surgery I am happy to talk to people about it face to face and it is something that so many women battle after having children. There isn't enough attention on being able to function properly after going through labour (x2) and the support women get is nowhere near adequate. Hence my going private and my gynecologist is fantastic and has validated all these issues I have been fighting for years. I felt like I was going crazy and having this support and care has been such a relief.

We have really struggled in the past year to survive financially (and medically) and while we are just rounding the corner, this isn't something we can fund easily. I currently have three jobs so I'm not sure I can keep up or add anymore! I have plans to increase what I sell online, sell some Pyrex maybe, find ways to save more and maybe do an extra contract here or there if I can. All without losing more hair again.
