Tangaroa College Golden Jubilee Project: The E Block Archgola Fund

The Milestone

This year, Tangaroa College celebrates 50 years of learning, friendship, and community. As we look back on five decades of memories, we are looking forward to the next fifty by investing in our school environment.

The Problem

Our school has grown significantly over the last five years, but our facilities haven't kept pace. Currently, our E Block classrooms are detached from the main covered walkways. During extreme heat or heavy rain, this space becomes unusable. With rising UV levels and the need for more assembly and sports spaces, our students are missing out on vital outdoor learning and connection time.

The Solution: The E Block Archgola

To celebrate our 50th birthday, we are raising funds for a permanent Archgola over the E Block area. This will provide:

• Sun Safety: A high-UV protected space to keep our tamariki safe from the sun.

• All-Weather Learning: A dry area for sports, cultural training, and assemblies regardless of the weather.

• Connection: Linking the 'detached' E Block back into the heart of the school.
