The Council has allocated $11m to the Begonia house for a do minimum renovation. The Garden has identified enhancements that will take this building from the ordinary to a well-appointed and interesting Wellington landmark.
The enhancements total just over $1M. We’re inviting 800 donors to contribute $1,000 each. Your donation will help fund upgraded fittings, improved hard landscaping, and the final touches that make Begonia House truly shine.
Get your family together, donate on behalf of your grandchildren, your parents, your cat or dog. Go crazy and donate twice.
Donors names will be etched on a beautiful glass panel in the conservatory foyer. Prefer to remain anonymous? Follow the prompts. Tax rebate certificates will be issued for your records.

The Friends support the conservation of the garden, offer a friendly guiding service to visitors and help out in a whole range of other ways such as tending a special section of the garden.
