The Healthcare NZ Spinal Trust Cycling Team is riding the Tour Of New Zealand to Support Kiwis with Spinal Cord Injuries. Please donate.
Nationwide
Cycling sees more New Zealanders breaking their backs and necks than any other sport in our country by three to one!
The New Zealand Spinal Trust has been selected to enter a team in the 2019 Tour of New Zealand cycle race to raise funds and awareness to support New Zealanders with spinal cord injuries.
Sadly last year we saw too many men and women in the two spinal units in New Zealand as a result of a crash on their bike. This began probably the most traumatic time in the lives of these cyclists and their families, many who will never return to their beloved bikes.
The NZ Spinal Trust supports these folk through their rehabilitation and back home again (sometimes many months later) and help them find their new future. All of their services are delivered at no cost to the patient despite the fact that 80% of our income comes from philanthropic grants and donations.
We are seeking your support to help us raise awareness and funds for those with spinal cord injuries.
Our mission is to empower people with spinal cord impairments and their whānau to embrace positive futures. We provide support and information services across New Zealand to help people overcome challenges, create strong networks, and pursue opportunities following their spinal impairment.
Funds raised support New Zealanders affected by spinal cord injuries.
WHAT A WAY TO FINISH! 14 April 2019
What an incredible way to finish the Tour with a criterium around Parliament.
Massive congratulations and thank you to our cycling team and supporters for a tremendous effort. Thanks especially to Healthcare NZ, Food Stuffs, and Peter Yarrell and his team for putting on a fabulous week.
The funds raised will help support New Zealanders with spinal cord injuries and for this we are truly thankful.
