WCET needs your help to establish Tūmanako Christian College.

Wellington

About Us

The WCET was established with the goal of starting a state-integrated, Christian school in Wellington, Tūmanako Christian College. This school aims to provide affordable, accessible, co-ed, interdenominational Christian education of a high quality to people in Wellington. It will go from new entrants through to year 13. At this point there are no secondary options for this kind of education in Wellington, and few primary ones.

We are working to open a school that provides excellent education with a biblical worldview and that is Christ- centred. We know many families want to raise their children in the way of the Lord, but need support from the school to partner with them. We believe that good Christian education should be available to those who choose it, regardless of denomination or finances.

Currently, there is little opportunity for many families to provide such a choice for their children in Wellington.

Being able to buy a site without debt will enable us to reduce fees and make building the school more achievable.

We need your help to make this happen. We are a charitable trust so your donations are eligible for a tax rebate.

If every Christian in Wellington gave their donation tax rebates to this, we would be able to fully fund Tūmanako Christian College this year.

Please give generously to help bring this vision to life!

Use of funds

The money will be spent on purchasing the land. Any surplus will go towards developing the site to make a great school. If we are unable to gain the full amount, it will be used as a deposit on the property.

Kia ora. Our date for going unconditional has passed and we were not able to meet the requirements. We are now looking at alternative sites, but have been able to confirm our strong relationship with the Ministry of Education and NZCPT, as well as the wonderful Christian community in Wellington. We hope to bring you further news very soon!

Heard about your vision for Christian education on the edge of Churton Park. At a young peoples meeting @ St Johns Anglican. The opening prayerer told me of the project, when I told her I was into intercession!
