I’m funding a community reforestation scheme at Rubuguri in S.W. Uganda. Can you help me provide seedlings and pay farmers for their labour?

I grew up in Uganda and still have friends there. I’m funding a reforestation scheme centred on the remote village of Rubuguri in the south-west, next to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – home of most of Uganda’s gorilla population.
While I’m providing money, there is a limit to what I can fund on my own. Can you help out? The more we can raise, the more trees we can buy and the more farmers we can involve. I have already committed NZ$1650 of my own money.
My contact there is Moses Akantorana, who works as a research assistant on gorilla ecology at the Max Planck Institute in the town of Kabale. He’s already made two trips to Rubuguri to meet with local community groups and leaders.
Reforestation will assist carbon capture and erosion control, and help villagers’ livelihoods. We are planting a mix of native and exotic trees, the latter to be harvested for timber.
Each member of the chosen community groups (currently 106 people in all) will provide his/her land to plant trees. I will pay for seedlings, provided by local nursery operators, plus labour for planting and weeding.
I cant pay for all this on my own so any help would be much appreciated!
I grew up in Uganda. My last visit was in 2013, when we took my Dad's ashes back to the school he founded in 1957. This scheme has arisen out of that visit. The village people are industrious, but most are subsistence farmers at best. I'm also involved in the climate change movement so reforestation is close to my heart.
Funds will go to 3 local nursery operators for 2120 native and exotic seedlings. We also pay the smallholders NS$4 per day (yes, that's the going rate!) for 2 days' labour (clearing, planting, weeding) plus a village council official who will monitor and supervise at NZ$12 per day for 4 days. My representative there Mr Akantorana has aldeady undertaken two journeys there at my expense to set this up and one more trip will be needed - that will have to be funded too.
Hi... Thanks very much for this extremely generous donation. It means we can increase the total number of trees planted by a massive 50%. That means we are planting over 3000 trees, half of them being native species for long-term catchment protection and carbon sequestration; the other half being exotics which will eventually be used by the villagers for building poles or firewood. :)
Thanks for your very kind donation. It means a lot to me. It will pay for 5 days' labour by the local people as they plant trees on their property, or 2 extra days' supervision and advice by a local forester!
Thanks so much! Now we can plant more trees.
Thanks for your very kind donation! It will enable us to pay for another 800 trees - fantastic.
