Supporting 10 rescued kittens fighting worms and cat flu. funds go to treatment, food, cleaning, and essential care.
Hamilton, Waikato
I took in 10 tiny kittens - two litters of five knowing they needed help, but I didn’t realise just how sick they were.
Within days, it became clear they were all battling a severe worm infestation and cat flu. Their little bodies are working so hard to fight , runny eyes, upset stomachs, and sore, irritated skin from being constantly unwell. Some are so small and weak, yet they still come looking for comfort, purring through it all.
Caring for them has become around-the-clock. Cleaning, feeding, treating, disinfecting , trying to stop the illness from spreading while making sure each kitten gets the care they need. It’s exhausting, but giving up isn’t an option for them.
They didn’t choose this start to life. They rely completely on someone stepping in to give them a chance.
I’m doing everything I can to get them healthy, safe, and ready for loving homes , but I need help to keep going. The cost of treatments, food, and supplies adds up quickly, especially with this many sick kittens.
If you can donate, you’re directly helping these kittens survive and recover. And if you can’t, sharing this means just as much.
Thank you for helping give them the chance they deserve. 🐱💛
Funds will go toward worming and flea treatments, medications and eye drops for cat flu, disinfectants and cleaning supplies, puppy pads, kitten food, bedding, crates for isolation, and vet care including vaccinations.
Update 31 March 2026
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to share a quick update and clarify a few things.
These kittens aren’t part of any organisation — I’ve taken them in myself and have been caring for them independently. When I first brought them in, I didn’t realise they were unwell, but I’ve since learned a lot and have a better understanding of what they need and how to manage their care.
They’ve come a long way already. I’m cleaning them and their space multiple times a day, treating their eyes, giving appropriate medications, and making sure they’re well fed and comfortable. One has been seen by a vet and confirmed to have cat flu, while the others are dealing with worms and upset stomachs, so they’re being supported with probiotics and ongoing care.
I did reach out to rescues early on to explore options, and through that I’ve gained a clearer understanding of how those organisations operate. For now, I’ll be continuing to care for the kittens myself and making sure they get everything they need.
I’ve also started receiving some support and donations, which I’m incredibly grateful for. This will go directly toward their treatment, desexing, and preparing them for safe, loving homes.
Thank you for your support and for following their journey 🤍
