When Onyx needed emergency surgery for a severe facial laceration, our loyal and new supporters were amazing. Within a week, they had rallied to pay his vet bills of over $1,000. 💖

Because he and his dad are homeless, Onyx came into our care for his recovery, medications, drainage removal, and progress checks. His stitches will come out on Tuesday 25th June.

Onyx has missed his dad terribly and his heartbreaking howls have brought complaints from neighbours, council, and the landlord. He must be reunited with his dad after suture removal, but they have nowhere to go. We have tried camping grounds, landlords and WINZ... but, sadly, no-one will offer accommodation to this big dog and his distressed dad. It was brutally suggested that "the dog is put down" so that his dad can be housed without his beloved companion.

We are asking the public to rally once again to help us purchase a low-cost van. Onyx will then be warm, sheltered and, most importantly, alongside his dad during the bitter winter months.
