A life changing ocean-based Youth Development programme

Combining teamwork, learning and fun our voyagers will discover learning by way of the ocean. Over 8 days and under the guidance of experienced crew a community is created of shared knowledge, growth and empowerment. Our unique youth development voyages integrate learning into a big adventure, including:

Sailing the open ocean with the freedom of the wind

Working as a team and making new friends

Interacting with dolphins and seals

Experiencing Maori culture and tradition

Appreciating different life perspectives

Expanding sense of potential, purpose and belonging

Observing, respecting and connecting with nature

Personal development and growth comes from greater understanding.

Ultimately our voyages will give youth – from all walks of life and cultures – a belief in themselves and their future potential.

LEARN WHAT IT MEANS TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

The funding we are trying to raise helps assist with the cost of the voyage for the youths. At the moment the price of the voyage is $1,600 per person for an 8 day trip.

Part of this experience is teaching them to fundraise for themselves to get them there - but to ask them to raise $1,600 is a daunting task for these families. We are hoping through our various efforts to be able to raise sufficient funds so that our youths are only faced with raising half of this cost themselves.
