WALKING STICKS NEEDED! HELP FNDA HELP OTHERS!

FNDA Functional Neurological Disorder Aotearoa, a Facebook group, and website fnda.nz, was created to support people in Aotearoa with fnd.

FND is a Neurological condition without organic cause.

Symptoms include seizures, immobility, paralysis, parathesia, dystonia, and much more. Although symptoms may be temporary for some, fnd is permanent, and symptoms can strike anytime for no apparent reason.

While a small percentage are covered by ACC or by DHB, there are many who cannot work and are not covered.

This means walking aids are not supplied, nor are alarms or bathing aids.

This fundraiser is to purchase walking sticks.

We need to purchase 10 walking sticks.

We have supplied 2 to members already, and these have been donated.

10 more are needed.

All people involved are volunteers and most have fnd or support someone with FND.

We appreciate your consideration, and that it may be a shock to realise our current government does not assist in all these matters.
