Walking for Save our Babies Charitable Trust

$1,305 of $1,000 goal
Given by 25 generous donors in 5 weeks

On the 13th Feb 2021, I will walk the Tarawera Ultra Marathon to raise money for Save our Babies Charitable Trust based here in Rotorua.

Bay of Plenty

In 2017 my husband and I purchased Four Square Edmund Road. It is a store that we are very proud of. Not just because it is part New Zealand history and the story of Four Square in New Zealand, but because our team, our customers and our community are strong and full of mana.

We LOVE what we do! But most of all, we LOVE that we are able to give back and play our part in making a difference for our community.

We came to know Kahira and Save our Babies Charitable Trust through another charitable organisation that we supported. They no longer needed our support - but they asked if we would consider extending the koha to Kahira.

When we met Kahira, it was an immediate yes. She is a POWER HOUSE and so, on the 13th February 2021 I will be walking the Tarawera Ultra Marathon (51.6km) to raise money for Save our Babies Charitable Trust. They are not funded by any agencies and rely completely on donations, fundraising events, donations and koha to do their best work.

So, what does Kahira do and why should you sponsor me to walk 51.6km's?

Well, the work that she does at Save our Babies Charitable Trust cannot be put into 5 -10 paragraphs (as per the instructions of this page to try and win you over!).

Essentially, Kahira and her husband are putting their money where their mouths are. They are doing the mahi - everyday. They are helping to get people safe, keep people safe and help to grow a better future for so many.

And below is a quick overview of just how AMAZING this woman is.

49yr old Kahira is a survivor of sexual abuse as a child and domestic violence as a teenager and at the time a young mother of three. She ran to celebrate her survival and to encourage those in abusive and violent situations to speak up, speak out and say ST♥PIT!

Awareness Runs Kahira has completed:

2017: Logan, Brisbane to Gold Coast Airport, Auckland Airport to Rotorua,
