Kaz and Siri came to us at 3 weeks of age on deaths door at Waitangi Weekend. Please help us w the costs for their Specialist care.

Nationwide

Kaz and Siri came to us at 3 weeks of age on deaths door at Waitangi Weekend. We rushed to the emergency after hours vet and they were given the best of treatment from our team at Your Vets Waipu.

Their worm burden was huge and that along with not being fed good food, their mum refusing to feed them and having to cope with all of this by being left outside meant they needed a lot of extra vet care and TLC. These poor guys had to pass the biggest worms we have ever seen for such little guys, both by vomiting and diarrhea.

After two weeks when all their worms were gone they started to feel better and then an unfortunate incident at a Vet meant Siri had to go into emergency surgery at 6 weeks old! :(

Kaz has also had to have x rays due to being quite bowed in his back legs, this can happen from malnutrition and is still under investigation. The next step is to refer him to Vet Specialist Group, a specialist team of Vet Surgeons.

All this has stretched our resources so we are asking for your help. So far it has cost us $1325 for these two wee puppers. The good news is due to the vet treatment and care from our team, Siri has now been adopted. Kaz is on hold awaiting the outcome of his specialist visit.
