Wellington Women's Refuge Safehouse Refurbishment
We are raising funds for our safe-house refurbishment, help us turn our refurbished safe-house into a home.

Our Wellington Women's Refuge safe-house is having a much needed refurbishment!
We are having a new paint job and carpet throughout the house, and a new kitchen and bathroom installed, this part is being taken care of by HNZ.
We have a blank slate to make into a house that is cosy & welcoming for the women and children who come to stay.
We need some funds to buy some new furnishings and specific items so our refurbished safe-house is comfortable, cosy and welcoming.
While we have collected up some wonderful donated items and furniture from our community for the refurbished house, some things are better new and there are also some specific furniture items we are wanting to buy for the spaces.
Please help us to create the best home we can for women and children who need a safe place to stay.
About us
Wellington Women’s Refuge provides support and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence; empowering them to make safe decisions for their future. We provide the option of a safehouse, and also support in the community. We operate a 24 hour crisis telephone line assisted by a roster of trained volunteers outside working hours. Domestic violence training provided to organisations on request.
Use of funds
All funds donated will go direct to buying items for our safe-house.
