Western Community Centre’s Youth Hub: A Fresh Space for New Generations

Many of you have been part of our WCC whaanau over the years—whether from the early days or more recently, you know that the centre has been at the heart of community activities, events, services, programmes and countless unforgettable moments for nearly 50 years!

We’re excited to announce that we’re transforming the unused sports changing rooms next to our centre into a brand-new youth hub! Hamilton City Council has generously gifted this building to us, making way for this exciting new project.

Located right across from our skate park and basketball court, the youth hub will be a dedicated space where young people can gather, connect, access services, and hang out with our youth workers.

Our Goal

We’re working to raise $883,469 to renovate and equip this space, creating a vibrant, functional environment for local youth. So far, we’ve raised $133,059 and have several funding applications underway, but we need your support to reach the finish line.
